SIC owe the title to an outstanding display by their captain and full-back, Federico Serra, who scored 23 points to give the triumph to his team.
The first half was very even, but SIC were playing a little better and in the 14th minute they took the lead thanks to a penalty from Serra. SIC then scored two penalties in a row thanks to Serra.
José Cilley, at 33 years of age, showed he is able to keep on playing at top level and scored a drop goal. The score was 12-0, reflecting the difference on the field. Later on, Serra dived into Tala's in-goal for the try after good teamwork in the 37th minute.
Buenos Aires's side reached the half-time 19-0 up in the score.
The visiting team did not improve after the rest period. They kept on making the same handling mistakes. Besides, both Cristian Ohanian and José Basile got yellow cards. Therefore, SIC increased the gap with a penalty and tries courtesy of Mariano Taverna and Marcelo Soiza. The game was then completely over.
In the 54th and 65th minute, SIC made two tries thanks to Mariano Taverna and Marcelo Soiza, respectively. And both were converted by Serra, to take the score to 36-0.
At the end of the game, Tala reduced the deficit thanks to a try from Jose Basile and a conversion from Ignacio Albrisi.
There is no doubt San Isidro Club was the master of the game that ended 36-7.
