The Baa-Baas starting XV will be announced on Wednesday but Ibanez will lead a star-studded lineout that is set to include former New Zealand internationals Justin Marshall and Carlos Spencer plus England's Lawrence Dallaglio, Australian flanker Owen Finegan and French full-back Thomas Castaignede, who is vice-captain.
The squad is being coached by Australian World Cup-winning coach Bob Dwyer, Wales' Grand Slam-winning boss Mike Ruddock and former New Zealand Test prop Craig Dowd.
The Barbarians face Scotland on May 31 before heading out to Tblisi for an historic first game against Georgia. Ex-England international Kyran Bracken and Will Greenwood are both set to be involved in their last game before retirement.
